The 2024 AGM
Saturday 20th April 2024
AGM at the St Albans Organ Museum
In 2024, we return to St Albans for a very special reason. We will see the 97 Key Mortier 'The Four Colums' back from it's restoration at NBC, as the instrument celebrates it's 100th Birthday.

What is a MOOS AGM all about?
Every year, we aim to achieve big things and we encourage our membership to bring thoughts on how to move the society forward to the next level. Also the meeting length is kept to the minimum, as we understand these AGM's are more of a social gathering. Therefore plenty of time for food, drink and organ music!
AGM Memories
Our 2023 event was hosted by Anthony Cowell in Lancashire. The collection of organs and steam engines included a 101 key Mortier, a 68 key Bursens and the resurfacing of an instrument which had not been seen for over 20 years - Carl Frei "De Ocher".
Also in 2023, we visited Nickson Automatic Instrument Sales on the Sunday of the AGM weekend, to enjoy many instruments from Eddy's collection.
In 2022, our AGM was at the Scarborough Fair Collection where we experienced a full weekend of music, including a Saturday evening concert.
In 2019, the AGM was in Suffolk visiting Jonathan Ling and The Grange Collection. On Sunday we enjoyed a trip to Thursford Founders Day.
In 2018, the AGM went to Cornwall to the Ian Rogers Collection. We also visited collector Robert Hough in Devon, Peter Phillips, the custodian of the Anderton and Rowland Grand Organ, and Dingles Fairground Heritage.
In 2017, the AGM visited a hidden gem in Spilsby. The collection belongs to MOOS Member David O Connor. We couldn't believe the variety of organs and other mechanical music instruments.
The 2016 AGM visited the collection of Russell Cook, Shropshire. Nearly everyone saw and heard instruments which were 'new to the ears' and it was great to enjoy a sandwich and a natter in the sunshine! Thank you Russell and family.
Our 2015 AGM visited the St Albans Organ Museum where we enjoyed the wonderful collection of Dance Organs in this historic setting.
